The sushi here is easily some of the best sushi in Germany. I've eaten at the Michelin star restaurant Nagaya in Dusseldorf and this place definitely gives it a run for it's money due to price and flavor. This is a real Japanese restaurant with excellent customer service and high quality ingredients. We opted to sit at tge bar and watch the sushi chef make our food, would highly recommend this for parties of 2-3 people. We sampled 16 different pieces of nigiri, sushi & handrolls and can honestly say there wasn't a single bad bite of food. We also had a delicious orange milk soda to start with miso soup and both were light and delicious. The otoro, unagi and toro all ran out but luckily were able to get an order in before that happened, small shame we couldn't get a second round. I don't see this as a negative as it shows they are using quality fish and not serving anything less than that. Highlights included the mackerel, scallops, eel and salmon skin nigiri. We washed these down with cold Kirin Ichiban and ended on tamago nigiri for dessert. The overall meal was excellent and the waiter was funny and friendly. Five out of five. Make a reservation if you want to grab a seat. Eat here!
Went here with my coworker and his family for sushi and have to say, it was some damn fine stuff. Very authentic, very fresh. The rice was properly cooked and the meal was well balanced,
We had the Chirashi and it was some of the best I've had outside of Japan. It came with some miso and a side of eggplant that complemented the main dish well.
They also have a nice assortment of bento boxes at lunch time.
Unbelievably surprising to find sushi of this quality in southern Germany of all places but I guess it's one of the oldest sushi places in the country and there is a good reason that it has lasted.
While possibly more expensive than some of the other places it's worth the money and not too bad at lunch time.
I'll be back tomorrow.
A nice and authentic Japanese restaurant also run by Japanese staff (which you can rarely find nowadays).
They serve most famous Japanese dishes. I haven't tried their sushi since you can find if everywhere. That's I wanted to go for the sukiyaki which I've liked when I was in Japan. Sadly they only serve it if it's being ordered my at least 2 persons so I couldn't have it.
I went for tempura udon which was ok.
However all of their dishes are pricey. Probably one of the most expensive Japanese restaurants in town.
I was also surprised about the fact that many Japanese customers are in there. So it seems to be really authentic.
