Wonderful Italian dishes in the heart of Germany. This place is a must on your gastronomic tour. As I don't speak German their menus with very good English translations were helpful and very accurate. An aspect not to be overlook for non-native speakers. I started with a crispy prawn dish with Orange medallions. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and the lite panko-like coating was delicately applied. Don't think of this as a batter dipped and breaded nightmare. it is just so slightly coated that baking crisps the coating but you still see most of the natural shrimp. The gold to black overtones to the coating the only hint that this is not just a normal crustacean. They take this wonderful piece of seafood and place it atop the sweetest, juiciest slice of orange they can find. When eaten together the snap and crunch of the shrimp combined with the sweet juice bursting out of the orange slice click so well. if you've thought this an odd combination you will be wowed!!
My main dish was a shrimp linguine that was also very good. The pasta was firm with strands just long enough the three or four twirls wrapped nicely around the fork ans when accompanied with the smaller shrimp made a pleasing mouthful. The sauce was light and ample greens topped the dish.
I skipped dessert since I thought it would be awkward to order another round of the shrimp appetizer. But if you can figure out a tactful way to do this, I would suggest you do. This was truly outstanding meal and definitely will be added to my list when I'm back in the area.
This might be the most beautiful restaurant in the city. In the evening there are candles everywhere, big windows, a long bar and a room with a fireplaces and big wall couches for drinks. Even the terrace is pretty with plants and candles.
Service was great- the workers were friendly and happy to help. They were very professional and fit the fine dining experience.
The food was also high quality. As expected, it took longer to receive our order then I expected but honestly it was worth a wait.
The menu and selection in very extensive- pizza, pasta, salads, soups. There are more options for those looking for lactose free options than most Italian restaurants.
We came here for dinner on NYE (or Silvester). Without reservation, most places were all booked, and Rossini was too except they were nice enough to give us a table for 2 hours, perfect!
Service was quick perhaps it was going to be a busy night and there were many waitstaff there. Food was good as I had the tomatencremesuppen with the gnocchi and half a lobster (the lobster was literally halved and placed on my place). To end my meal for the evening, we shared their "Dolce Vita" dessert which was a sampler of all their desserts including cappuccino panna cotta, tiramisu, fruit, ice cream, and tiny tart of some sort. A tad random but that's why it's a sampler.
