Our group of family and friends met up at the corner of Moltkestrasse where you can find an excellent, cosy Italian restaurant. I have known the place since the mid nineties but this was first return visit and under the current ownership since very many years.
Our party of 8 sat outside in the garden. I left most of the ordering to our local host who lives practically next door and knows the place intimately. I fancied a pizza - I can certainly recommend the Pizza Tommy which you won't find on the menu but which is well known in the kitchen. It is essentially spicy Italian salami, gorgonzola and hot peperoni on the side. Next time I would ask for the peperoni be added to the pizza. We shared a number of bottles of a delicious Primitivo red wine over the course of this pleasant, relaxing evening.
Having arrived shortly after 7 in the evening we certainly took our time to savour the atmosphere here. We finally, and rather reluctantly, it seemed left shortly after midnight - the last guests with all the staff looking rather relieved that we had finally decided to call it a night.
Service throughout was excellent - certainly the locals in our party knew all the staff well which helped.
