Came here after all day at oktoberfest to have a meal away from the crowd and out of the rain. Got there around 7:30 and there were only 3 groups there but many more people came in within the hour.
Food was good. Had the meat plate with pork chop, ground meat patty, boiled pork belly. It came with rice and raw chopped onions and a tomatoes paste. All very flavorful, though the pork chop was a bit dry.
Schnitzel was very good, nice and hot and came with a tasty cold potato salad to balance out the fry of the meat.
Beef goulash was also good, nothing special.
Apple pie/strudel came hot with ice cream and whipped cream. Nice treat to end the meal.
We ate early one night just after they opened, so it was not very busy. I had the chicken risotto and cabbage salad. Very good, but a tad light on the chicken. My wife had the boiled beef and potatoes which I think sounds bland, but turned out to be delicious tender beef. Now this dish was REALLY good. I was a little sorry I had not chosen it too. I also had a Franziskaner Dunkel, which I think might be my favorite German beer. Too bad it wasn't on tap. But still good out of a bottle. I had a second beer, Lowenbrau triumphator. I think the abv on that was about 7.5%. A nice buzz on that, good brew, but didn't top the Franziskaner...nice feel to the place, had sidewalk seating too. Decent service and menus in English as well as German.
This place wasn't on our list, but it looked so good when we walked by that we stopped in. Friendly service, very good food and good prices made this a real find. Sitting and drinking beer, eating schnitzel and watching pedestrians and trams go by practically define Germany!
Very quaint with excellent beer and Bavarian food selection. I had white sausages and sour cabbage along with spatzel. Delicious and cozy for when you may not want to be in the large Biergartenhaus.
Found this cozy restaurant as it was near our hotel. Had the goulash and spatzele which was delicious. The place was packed and we were impressed as there seemed to be only one man working the whole room and bar yet the service was very good. Really enjoyed our meals and the atmosphere.
Super little place once you find it. The directions from yelp are a little off. It is actually on the same street as the bahnhof. The schnitzel was the best. Wife had the Vienna style and I had jagerschnitzel. Nice staff, perfect English. And inexpensive. I'll be back when I'm back in Munich!
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable! The waiter was so sweet and helpful! It was the end of a perfect day!
Leckeres Essen und es war auch schnell am Tisch. Nur wurden aktuell die Tische nach jedem Gast abgewischt und wenn Jemand am selben Tisch schon fertig ist, wird schon abgeräumt. Da denkt man daneben, dass man zu langsam ist und sich beeilen soll.
Gute herzhafte Küche in rustikalen Ambiente zu einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.
Eines der besten Restaurants in denen ich je gegessen habe. Super Preise, leckeres Essen, sehr freundliches Personal. Absolut empfehlenswert!
