I'm not vegan, but my misses is, we were in Munich, so why not, and it is probably the best food I have ever eaten! Not the cheapest of places, but certainly not the most expensive, the service is great, it's a cute little place with great chefs, if you are in Munich, vegan or not, go there, it's amazing!
Tolles Essen, toller Service - immer gerne wieder!
Best full vegan restaurant in all munich! I recommend everybody to go there
Service, Ambiente und Gerichte einfach top. Besonders gut waren die hausgemachten Limonaden! :) Immer wieder gern 🖒
Super gemütlich, super leckeres Essen, toller Service.
Came here for dinner and sat at the bar. There were only 2 people working the front of the house but they were so efficient and were hustling.
I shared the Chili Cheese Nuggets and got a Schnitzel Burger for myself with a pomegranate drink. Both were excellent, filling, and so satisfying on a cold and drizzly day. In general, bodhi has a lot of hearty, comfort food items.
I would come back and I would recommend this to vegan/ vegetarian friends visiting Munich.
Great vegan spot. We came early and got a table without a reservation which was cool!
Cool atmosphere and witty signs. Schnitzel was eerily realistic!!! Great chili cheese bites and onion rings.
Buffalo cauliflower could've been crispier but still good!
Beyond burger was "just ok" according to the carnivores in our group but even they LOVED the chili cheese bites and were fooled by the schnitzel!
Meal prices are a bit high but sandwich prices and appetizer prices weren't bad at all
We had a great time sitting at the bar for dinner about a week ago. The gentleman at the bar was very attentive and provided us with an English menu when he realized we were having trouble reading the German. There were only two people running the front of house but the were doing an amazing job at serving and making sure to bring the food out as soon as it was ready. I had the vegan Schnitzel sandwich which was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend stopping here if you visit Munich. It's a great pub vibe- although make sure to make reservations if you don't want to sit at the bar ( we didn't mind)
Best vegan food I have ever tried! Amazing food, amazing drinks and amazing staff! Location is so nice and calm too! But the food is out of this world! The fried calamari left me speechless!
We ventured to this spot from our hotel on foot in search of vegan! We met Mo the server and he was amazing! There was SO much good food and selection as well as full bar.
We tried the jackfruit and seitan burgers and they were both delish! The desert is a must (can't remember the name but it is the pancake one). It was out of this world! Mo was a very gracious host and we felt so welcome for the first time in Germany. This place is a must stop for quick drink or full on vegan feast! So glad we stopped in.
Holy vegan burger! After logging in almost 30,000 steps around Munich, we arrived right before the dinner hour hungry and sans reservation. Fortunately, we had a great server who hooked us up and made us Americans feel right at home in this must visit establishment. From quirky signs to a menu that will make non-vegans salivate, we enjoyed every minute. I had the Asian burger, which came stacked with seaweed salad and a vegan remoulade on this fantastic curry bun. I am still stuffed from inhaling this juicy burger along with a giant side of roasted potatoes (with more remoulade and ketchup). The music, which is brought to you by Spotify playlists that you can even contribute to, was a wide range of 70s and 80s American rock classics to some Blink 182 throwbacks.
I can't say enough good things and was grateful to the other Yelpers for pointing us in this direction. I hope your experience is as good as ours! If you can, make a reservation. It's with it.
Schwanthalerhöhe is just a laidback district in Munich, and it is always nice to go there to relax or hang out. Bodhi has the perfect attitude to place itself in this area.
Located on the corner, Bodhi has perfect location for people watching. We came here on a summery weeknight for dinner, and it was just easygoing. To continue with this vibe, the staff was also friendly and chilled (ok, sometimes a bit too chilled as the service could have been a little bit faster).
Their vegan menu offers interesting selection of burgers. We tried the "Rösti" and "Hot Seitan" burgers, sweet potato fries and country potatoes along with their homemade remoulade sauce. I truly enjoyed the hot seitan burger that I didn't care that it was fake cheese. The fries were also delectable.
I am no vegan, but I will certainly come back for some more Bodhi delights.
Had an amazing late night snack here last week. Since we already had dinner before we got an appy and a main to share.
Tried the Bruschetta that came with 3 different topping. You get six slices of bread: two with avocado, two with tomato/basil (and garlic) and two with mushrooms/herbs topping. They all tasted amazing! It also came with a side salad. Not a bad deal for 6,50 €.
As a main we picked the "Käs"spatzn. A traditional German dish. Egg noodles with cheese. It was the first time I got to try a vegan version. It's amazing what you can do these days! Heavy but soo cheeeesy! Came with rosted onions and a side salad for 11 €.
Our waitress was super friendly and very attentive.
We sat outside but the inside looked very nice and cosy. So I guess we gotta come back with empty stomaches!!
I've been to a lot of vegan/vegetarian places all over the world but I have to admit that Bodhi in Munich is one of the best places you can go to have a delicious vegan meal.
Bodhi is located at Schwanthalerhöhe near to the Theresienwiese where Oktoberfest is celebrated each year. Due to its location in a quite calm street you can sit outside away from the traffic and enjoy the sunshine. The staff is very friendly and fast and the food: You'll hardly find any better!
I've been there several times now - almost each time I'm in Munich for work and each time it was just great. Friendly service, vegan food and everything sooooo delicious. Not only the seitangoulash with pretzel dumplings (best I ever had!) also the salads and soja schnitzels or the desserts are so delicious.
HIGHLY recommendable, doesn't matter if at lunch-time or in the evening and you won't regret anything ;)
If visiting in the evening I would recommend a reservation.
This place is amazing! My husband and I were happily surprised to find a restaurant in Germany that was entirely vegan and this surpassed our expectations. Our favorite thing on the menu were the chili cheese nuggets. We also loved the schnitzel burger and highly recommend! Not only was the staff very friendly and nice, but they spoke great English. Note that they do not accept cards so we paid in Euros. Looking forward to coming back soon!
Amazing vegan food, great variety in taste, situated on a quiet road to enjoy your food inside or outside. The dish "Bodhi Pfanderl" is my favourite so far.
I'm so happy I got to check this place out. They had some funny unique things going on. I'll upload those pictures hopefully soon. They had a sign saying soup of the day: beer. And yes they did have a soup with beer and it was quite good. I tried the hotdog which was loaded and the currywurst Frankfurt. I has the käsespätzel, delicious. I was happy they closed at 12. Whenever I got hungry I would take the u-bahn here, since places close early bu luckily they stay open late and they are vegan.
What a lovely place, with great service and food!
We started with the chili cheese nuggets and it was a delightful treat. The main course was what really wowed us. The schnitzel and spatzn were so great! We ate until we were beyond full because it was so good.
The service was really tremendous. The restaurant is in a nice location with not that many tourists, and they treated us like treasured guests. Very friendly.
Staff very helpful with translations. Definitely worth the trip outside of touristy areas.
So glad to have stopped at Bodhi. Creative and delicious food. Full bar, homemade desserts, staff are super positive and outgoing. A must visit!
Fabulous vegan restaurant and probably my favorite in Munich. I went for dinner and brunch and both were satisfying. The staff is incredibly friendly and seemed interested in my stories and travels. The atmosphere was lovely and the beer selection was solid. I will certainly come back next time I am in Munich.
