This is an interesting place in regards to mix of setting, ambiance, and service. It's a small, tight place yet this is one of its charming features. Further, it's a small cafe, yet they have a fairly good selection of food and dessert available plus coffee, etc. In the warmer months, there are plenty of tables outside yet they are always full. Inside, you can maybe fit 20 people, and usually they do. The crowd tends to be a bit older and stuffy but it somehow fits here. I always get a laugh out of all the wanna-be intellectuals and "suburban" poets who tend to congregate here. It's part of the scenery. If you can find a seat, it's worth your while to hang out for a bit, drink a coffee and take in what tries to be Mannheim's "noblesse". The view when sitting outside can't be beat in terms of "historical" when it comes to Mannheim even if you overlook all the cars passing by on the heavily frequented, two lane road out front. The people-watching is also extensive as quite a large number of people walk by on their way into town for shopping excursions.
Wine is delicious - you get what you pay for. The staff is friendly, vibe is good. Beautiful interior, from the tiles to the lamps, you feel at home right away. Can´t wait to be back!

Sehr tolle Ambiente. Leckeren wechselten Kuchenauswahl. Leider einen Sternabzug weil Kartenzahlung erst ab 25€ ist.
