Nice and cozy coffee place where it's good to have your afternoon break or your breakfast/brunch. Staff is cool, food is good and prices are very soft to your wallet too. I had brunch over there, ordered their crunchy muesli with fresh fruits and yogurt and then the poached eggs with avocado and gravax salmon, served on thick bread slices. It was delicious, even if I found the salmon a bit too strong in taste for me. I accompanied it with a huge latte and fresh orange juice. Ended up paying 17,5€, which I think was super ok for everything I had and the quality !
Everyone enjoyed their order, whether it was simple pains au chocolat or pancakes.
Good and simple place like we like it in Berlin.
I passed the restaurant on a prominent corner and detoured in for a drink and some soup. I loved the cozy corner I occupied as well as my conversation with a server. I came back for the pretzels and coffee and the sunny outdoor table.
Located 1 km from alexanderplatz is good place for breakfast, but if you are very hungry ... better avoid it as the wait is so long after order. We waited approximately an hour till our food arrived. Because we were so hungry had to order extra chocolate croissant because wait was never ending. Must say was not bad, but could be better. About the coffee: in menu it's written that they have I guess coffee from Peru but unfortunately was mix coffee and as my friend is a coffee specialist, he did not like it that much. But my cortado was good. Finally got food on table after long wait... well must say it was worth it. Had bread ( freshly baked) soft and tastes good with scrambled eggs, mushrooms and truffle oil and salad with balsamic vinegar. Was amazing and the staff was very friendly. We wanted extra bread because we ate all of it , they gave us extra without charging extra. So I guess they deserve extra star for that. All in all try it once.
Really awesome quiches and very nice people. Perfect for a little snack :)
Try the quiches and the cakes!!
Nice, laid back, and cosy place for a lazy evening with friends. A bit pricey for what you get though.
The location is very central, right next to the Volksbühne and Babylon Cinema in Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz.
We stopped just for a drink, nice café and the service was very friendly. Snacks and breakfast menu looked also good (focaccia, shashuka, weißwurst and vegan options) even though we didn't have the chance to try it out.
Today was my first visit at Sauers, and I was really pleased with the coffee and the breakfast I had.
The Sauers is located at the Rosa Luxemburg Platz, just across the street from the Babylon cinema and another place I quite like, the Luxemburg bar.
It has big windows so you can watch the dogs playing on the lawn in front of the legendary Volksbühne and admire the architecture of the area.
It has a nice interior, somewhere between design furniture and bar style and a small and straight forward menu. I had a German hearty ("deftig") breakfast this morning, and the quality of the cold cuts and cheese was excellent and the prices reasonable. It also came with a small side of fresh salad. Service was friendly but non-intrusive, exactly as you would expect it in a good German spot. I will definitely go back.
Stumbled upon this place by accident. I was really hungry and everyone sitting outside seemed to be enjoying their meal so I decided to grab a sandwich. I cannot read German and it seemed pretty obvious when I picked up the menu so the gentlman working there was very nice and offered to help me with the menu.
I got the goat cheese sandwich and when he brought it out, he claimed that it would be one of the top 5 best sandwiches I have ever had. While that was not exactly the case, I have to give kudos to him for making an amazing sandwich. It will definitely go in the list of top 10.
Highly recommend the quiche of the day, and the Bayern Breakfast. Very cheap as well, only 4.5 euro for my lunch!
