Very good, traditional German cuisine at affordable, reasonable prices.
The interior of the restaurant is pleasant and very climatic. Tiled walls remind guests about that here was once an old bakery. On the walls You can find metal posters together with paints. Right at the entrance welcomes us wooden bar with lots of drinks and further are two other larger rooms. Although there is not a computer or wifi, you can pay by credit card.
At the start we decided to order broth with noodles pancake (3.5 euros). In order to try as many dishes we ordered also a platter of German specialties for two people (19.90 euros). You can find there Spätzle, dumplings, pierogi, cabbage, lentils, sausage, mushroom sauce and salad. Although we love lots of food we were not able to eat everything - it was delicious and serving really great.
Service very friendly and helpful. Not intrusive but always at hand. For visitors from abroad is also a menu in English.
Very nice and tasty place - would recommend.
This place has amazing service, amazing ambiance, and AMAZING FOOD! They have English menus and do their best to make you feel comfortable by speaking English. I was fully prepared to whip out my crappy broken German but the waiter clearly saw I was a native English speaker. My companion and I ordered two spätzel plates (one with mushrooms and one classic), words can't describe how yummy! Crispy cheese and soft noodles, yum. The dessert is what knocked it out of the park for me, honestly the best strudel I've ever had in my life. Defiantly recommend this place!
I tried a Maultaschen omelette with a mushroom sauce and a salad. It was a lot of food and really, really nice!
It does feel like a nice bar with food. I'll definitely go back again. This review was written in 2009.
The lunch prices are much better.
